Barrel Oak Winery and Brewery welcomes our members and guests! We are grateful for your understanding as we work to offer a positive experience, while honoring the fact that we are a place of business.

We are your local Virginia winery and brewery. To use our facility, tables and grounds, wine and beer purchases are required while you are here.

We will continue to improve our wide selection of amazing food offerings and support our local food trucks/vendors, and we hope you will as well. If you choose to bring your own snacks, food, non-alcoholic drinks, etc. please abide by the following:

• Barrel Oak Club members may enjoy their items with their Barrel Oak wine and/or beer in the Barrel Oak Winery main tasting area, Brewery area, Loft, Tower Room, and Private Club Patio (when open).
• Non-club guests are welcome to enjoy their items with their Barrel Oak wine and/or beer at our hillside tables.

All members and guests should note: NO coolers and/or outside alcohol are permitted on site at any time.

Is Barrel Oak kid friendly?

We are family friendly! All children MUST be always under DIRECT Adult Supervision! This includes playing on lawn areas & using restrooms indoors. We are a working farm, and we must ensure all children have an adult with them to prevent injury or damage to our facilities. Children are prohibited in the following areas: Loft Seating, Fireplace Seating & Tasting Bars. Per ABC Regulations no one under 21 is allowed at the Tasting Bars.

Is Barrel Oak dog friendly?

We are dog friendly! All dogs must be on a 6-foot leash and under your control at all times. To avoid disturbing other guests, we ask that if your dog is reactive to other pups that they are not seated in our Tasting Room area. Dogs are prohibited at our Tasting Bar (Flights can be enjoyed at your table) and in our Fireplace seating area.

Does Barrel Oak have food?

YES! We have so many options for you! Our market offers Charcuterie & Cheese items and sweet treats, as well as Nordic-Knot Pretzels and Quattro Empanadas. Our on-site vendor, Pizza by Knead Wine, is onsite Thursday-Sundays. Seasonally, additional lite fare is available as well!

Can we bring outside food?

Outside food is welcome in our outdoor areas. Barrel Oak Club Members are welcome to bring in outside food to our Indoor Areas. Per ABC Regulations no outside alcohol is permitted on the premises. Coolers are prohibited, but large food hampers, bags & baskets are welcome and subject to inspection.

Can we arrive without a reservation?

For an optimal experience and to ensure your group has enough seating, we ask that gatherings of 9 or more people make a reservation. For groups arriving on a bus or in a limo, please contact us or make a reservation ahead of time so we can give you the best service possible.

Does Barrel Oak have guided tastings?

We love offering guided tastings! For groups of 6 or less, guided Tastings are available anytime at our Main Bar. Groups of more than six must make a tasting reservation.

Does Barrel Oak offer tours?

We do offer guided cellar tours! Our tours are available seasonally and only with a prior reservation. Reserve your tour here.

Does Barrel Oak offer anything else to drink besides wine?

Yes! We have Beer, Seltzers, Soft Drinks & Waters available.

Does Barrel Oak allow buses or limos?

We do allow buses and limos, but only with a prior reservation. Contact us for more information. 

Do you have spaces dedicated to 21yo+?

We do! Our Loft area, Tasting Bars, & Fireplace seating are 21+ only.
