Barrel Oak has always been more than a destination — it’s a place to slow down, connect, and share meaningful moments. Nestled in Virginia’s Piedmont, our 78-acre estate celebrates the land, the craft, and the community that make our story possible.
We grow Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Norton, and other grape varieties, blending classic winemaking traditions with modern techniques. In our brewery, small-batch beers are crafted with the same care and creativity as our wines.

The Heart of Barrel Oak
Where Virginia wine, family, and community come together.
Nestled in the Piedmont region of Virginia, just east of the Blue Ridge Mountains, sits Barrel Oak Winery — home to Wine Enthusiast’s “Most Family Friendly Winery in the World.” Since planting its first vine in 2006, the 30-acre vineyard has grown ten varietals, including Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Virginia’s native Norton, offering premium examples of fine Virginia winemaking.
In 2022, Kavelle and Ken Bajaj, a local family from Upperville, became the proud stewards of Barrel Oak. Kavelle’s passion lies in honoring the land, preserving its history, and creating a place where guests can sip the fruits of the vineyard, connect with one another, and feel part of a welcoming community.
