Petit Manseng is one of Virginia’s most versatile grapes, accumulating a great deal of sugar during veraison while retaining great acidity. This 2024 Petit Manseng has a hint of sweetness, not enough to be considered off dry, but enough to balance out the bright acidity of this wine.
This Petit Manseng was fermented and aged 100% in stainless steel. Fermented cold to retain fresh fruit and crisp acidity. This wine was put through partial malolactic fermentation to bring some roundness to the mouthfeel while also retaining some malic acid. The partial malolactic conversion gives the wine just enough body and softness to complement the bright, naturally high acidity that Petit Manseng is known for, without sacrificing its vibrant, refreshing character.
