100% Washington State Albarino. Light golden color, highly aromatic with higher acidity, full body and a smooth finish. Juice was moved immediately to a stainless steel tank with yeast selected to highlight the aromatics of the fruit. Cool fermentation was long, about four weeks. Malolactic fermentation was not allowed.
Color almost clear. Aroma of pear and ripe fruit. Slightly cloying on the palate, flavor of dried apricots and honey with a clean finish. 47% Traminette, 53% Petit Manseng. The Traminette was whole cluster pressed, the Petit Manseng destemmed, cold soaked and then pressed. Tank fermented separately then blended before bottling.
Late Harvest Vidal Blanc
John Marshall Declaration
This very select wine is by far the most limited and special wine crafted from the hearts and minds of our winemakers. Made in the traditional Madiera style with sun and air aging. Four years in oak barrels and over a year in the bottle prior to release. Only 82 cases were produced, with every bottle hand numbered. The wine is balanced and stable with mandarin orange notes. Once open the wine will open into navel orange and remain drinkable for months, if not years.
A beautifully crafted and totally unique dessert wine. Port style, 100% Chambourcin infused with cracked cocoa nibs. Aged in American oak and recovered whiskey barrels.
