Actually, MOM = 666 on my phone.  I find that sooooooo funny!  Mom = the sign of the devil.  Not sure but that couldn’t be further from the truth.  Mom is mom to everyone.  That’s the mom we got.  And she is on a very short list of people who can drop in unannounced and stay as long as she wants at our house.

True story – I was in Ohio for my brother’s wedding.  Later at their home for the family gathering, poor mom found herself in the evening with a sobbing Brian telling mom how much I missed her and wished we could see her more often.  Poor mom…she held up so well too.  Now we all make it a point to see each other more than a couple of times a year.  Life is passing by so quickly.  So quickly.  Yet she inspires me – taking hikes all the time and traveling and working in the yard.  Sometimes she acts younger than I do!

Mom’s day is a special time for us all.  If mom was here this year, I’d take her to Oak Hill for the John Marshall Tasting Experience.  It’s that special an experience.  Oh well…maybe next year.  Maybe you’ll bring your mom and we’ll live vicariously through you.  Maybe…

Thanks mom.  You never wavered in your love for any of us even when you were sorely tried by each of us.  I know you wanted a daughter…but instead ended up with four rambunctious sons  B-).  You so deserve every gift that you receive.  You made us and you made us well.  We all love each other and we all love you.  All in all….not bad mom!

We’ll see you soon I hope and until then mom…HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
