I love this place, bring the family, the dog, and enjoy great beer, wine & sangria. Bring a picnic lunch or order something from the brick oven pizzeria. Live music on weekends and always hopping! Just a great time every visit.
I've been to a lot of winery's in Northern California and I was hands down impressed with this winery. Aside from the great wine and selections they also have beer for those non-wine-inclined. Throw in some pizza, various munchies and, during summer months, oysters, and you have a nice variety of things to try at this winery. Add in all the adorable dogs that paw through the place and it is now an amazing winery. They have a significant variety of activities for the family and lots of seating, indoor, outdoor and picnic space. I understand now why this place is packed often. Fortunately, I went during a holiday weekday time and got to enjoy the winery during a calm time. I recommend visiting the winery and trying any of their delicious selections.
Love coming here as much as I can! It's amazing! The wine is always good and most importantly the customer service is always good no matter how busy it is!
This is such a cool place!! A beautiful location with beautiful views, they offer their own wines and beers. They have comprehensive wine tasting flights for $11 with 6 wines plus goodies not on the menu (I enjoyed a tiny cup of mulled wine on a chilly day recently). They are dog friendly, sell gourmet pizzas on site, have a loft room with amazing views and ample seating, two outdoor patios with live music during good weather on weekends. The staff is knowledgeable and efficient and the wines are very good! I've not tried the beer. If you have the Virginia Wine Pass, they offer discounts on flights. Definitely a fun place to stop and have a flight or glass of wine while enjoying mountain views. They have picnic seating outside as well, and like many Virginia wineries, you can purchase a bottle of their wine and enjoy any food you've brought (no outside wine- state law).
If you are looking for a chill winery, then this is the place. Great ambience and it's kid and pet friendly. You can bring your own snack, however, they also have great pizza. Now to the important part, the wine. The wine is excellent! Both the whites and reds. They have two tasting selections depending on your preference of wines. The also serve beer, however, I can't comment about it as I don't drink beer. Today they also had sangria (perfect as it was a very hot day) and it was so good and refreshing. Another nice thing about this winery is that they always have events going on. Today there was live music and they were also serving raw and charbroiled oysters, which were absolutely tasty. And lastly, they had a pop up dessert shop selling macaroons and pastries. Of course I had a chocolate eclair. I highly recommend this winery!
Really beautiful winery. I went here for a private event and the top floor of the winery had a beautiful view, ample seating, a TV (in case you're showing a presentation), and lots of areas for serving food and drinks. I loved seeing all the dogs that came by, and the patios (the one at the restaurant and the one outside) seemed packed and fun. A really festive place to go for the weekend.
Had a lot of fun here! They offer wine tastings, both an intro option with sweeter selections ($8) and an advanced option with bolder wines ($11.) they also have a beer tasting menu with a handful of options. Food options may vary but at the time of my visit we're comprised of Pizza, oysters and BBQ. Highly recommend the oysters which were tasty and a good deal at $20 a dozen. Came for the grape stomping event which was super interesting. But even on a non event day, this was among our favorite wineries in northern Virginia.
I wish this was a bit closer to home, but it's worth the 25 minute drive is worth it. I love that this is a dog-centric place both in theme and atmosphere. It's a nice cavernous place with a warm ambiance, and it's clear they have a lot of regulars given the number of people dressed for a jog stopping in with their furry friends. Both tasting menus are good and I'm partial to the sweet BOW side, and the price points are similar to other wineries. There's a taste for every palate on the wine side, but I didn't get to taste the beer so I'll definitely be back to try that selection out as well. I'll update then, but if you like good wine and a cozy experience you have to try!
